About The Chrysanths Pantomime
The Chrysanths pantomime is an annual, multi-award-winning production created by The Chrysanthemums Pantomime Society — one of the UK’s longest-running amateur theatre groups. Based on the Wirral, our society is affectionately known as “The Chrysanths” and has been entertaining audiences for over a century.

Our History
Founded in the year 1918, our society took its first steps when a passionate group of amateur performers came together to stage a charming show set in a garden beautifully framed by vibrant blooming chrysanthemum flowers.
This unforgettable moment not only inspired the unique name of our society but also laid the foundation for a remarkable legacy that has continued and flourished for more than a century, spanning over 100 years of rich history and artistic dedication.
Performances, Style & Tradition
Based in Wirral, Merseyside, The Chrysanths perform their annual pantomime at the iconic Floral Pavilion Theatre in New Brighton. Every year, we deliver large-scale, professional-standard pantomimes filled with adventure, comedy, music, dancing, and classic audience participation.
Our casts blend seasoned performers with new local talent, creating shows that feel both polished and deeply connected to the community. For generations of families across the Wirral and beyond, attending a Chrysanths pantomime has become a cherished tradition — a highlight of the season that brings people back year after year.
