This Pantomime had a wonderful opening, very bright well rehearsed and all in red. It got us off to that feel good evening. I think that Cinderella is one of the best storylines in this type of entertainment. Buttons, one of the main characters played by Matthew Jones had such energy and verve which was well sustained. The Ugly Sisters, very important to the comedy in this show, were excellent. Verruca played by Jed Flowerday and Hernia played by Graham Leight. Cinderella played by Roxanne Male had everything she needed, good looks, good presentation and had the audience especially the children feeling very sorry for her, having such dreadful sisters. The Prince played by Charlotte Delaney had the kind of legs that Principal boys would give anything for and her side kick Dandini played by Steph Hatton worked well together. The transformation scene was extremely well done, all in dance and mime with a real pony pulling the coach. The Good Fairy played by Sarah Jackson made a strong change from the old woman to the Fairy. The finale was really something, everyone dressed in black and while and the music of the Ascot Gavotte. the scene changes were slick, the music good and all together a good evenings entertainment. Well done to everyone concerned.
